One of the few pieces I have made from a conifer tree turned with an endgrain orientation. This is "Faux Cypress" log was from a wood give-away at the Arnold Arboretum. The inside is rough and stained with India ink.

Wax & Oil - WIpe with a soft cloth and mild soap as needed. Dry with a towel. Refresh with bucherblock conditioner and buff to a rich luster.
